Palestinian children carry food donated by an Islamic welfare organisation on the second day of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan in the old city of the West Bank city of Hebron October 5, 2005. About eight hundred Palestinian families received the donated food. Muslims scan the sky at night after the end of their lunar calendar`s eighth month in search of the new moon to proclaim the start of Ramadan, Islam`s holiest month when practising Muslims abstain from food, drink and sex from dawn to dusk and believe that good deeds are rewarded 10-fold.
