Palestinian students from Dar al-Arkam School stage a protest against a recent Israeli airstrike, which injured eight women, three children and several elderly people at the Hamas-run school, north of Gaza City. Israel turned up the heat on Hamas in its Gaza stronghold after Prime Minister Ariel Sharon fended off a bid to oust him as party leader over his decision to leave the Palestinian territory. AFP
