Israeli conductor Daniel Barenboim gestures to the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra following a concert at the Príncipe de Asturias Auditorium in Oviedo, northern Spain, July 31, 2005. Barenboim`s West-Eastern Divan Orchestra`s young musicians include Palestinians and Israelis. The composer and his late partner Palestinian writer Edward Said, hoped to use music to heal Jewish-Arab tensions.
