Monday June 27, 05:14 PM A Palestinian man argues with an Israeli army officer as he and others wait to cross the Hawara military checkpoint, near the West Bank town of Nablus, Monday June 27, 2005. Following last week`s Israeli-Palestinian summit, the Palestinians say Prime Minister Ariel Sharon rejected their key demands: new munitions for the Palestinian Authority in Gaza, a handover of the northern West Bank to Palestinian control and guarantees of a safe passage between Gaza and the West Bank through Israeli territory. The Israelis say Sharon gave a promise to hand over two more West Bank towns within two weeks, a pledge to allow more Palestinian laborers into Israel, the release of more prisoners and an easing of restrictions on Palestinian travel.
