Palestinian Gaza resident Naim Elyam carries his three-month-old dead son, who died on natural causes as he was receiving treatment in an Israeli hospital, as he walks on the Israeli side of the Erez Crossing, Monday June 18, 2007 in order to enter the Gaza Strip. Israeli soldiers and Palestinian gunmen exchanged fire Monday at the Erez crossing between Israel and Gaza, killing one Palestinian and wounding at least 10, the Israeli rescue service and Palestinian hospital officials said. The Israeli military said Palestinians threw a grenade and fired at civilians at the crossing, and soldiers shot at the gunmen. The military said there were no Israeli casualties.
