Palestinian land owners perform Friday noon prayers on their farm land as they protest against the start of the building of the Israeli separation barrier in the Palestinian village of Umm Salamunah. Israel has handed more than 100 million dollars in frozen funds to the cash-strapped Palestinian Authority in an effort to bolster president Mahmud Abbas, locked in a power struggle with the ruling Hamas movement.(AFP/Musa al-Shaer)
