Palestinian Authority employees demonstrate demanding to be paid their salaries in the West Bank city of Bethlehem, Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas announced Tuesday that his government will pay the salaries of tens of thousands of public workers, but did not say where the money would come from. The salaries of 165,000 government workers are three months overdue because the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority is broke due to crippling international sanctions. Sign in Arabic calls on the Palestinian government to pay the employees' salaries to be able to feed their children. (AP Photo/Nasser Shiyoukhi)
