A Palestinian man sits inside his destroyed home after an Israeli artillery shelled it, in the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Lahia. An eight-year-old Palestinian girl was killed today when an Israeli shell landed on her family home, medical and security sources said. Twelve other people were wounded in the shelling of the building in the Beit Lahia region.
