A Palestinian family looks on as their processions are removed from their home by Israeli officials in Silwan, a neighborhood of Arab East Jerusalem. Transfers of property are occurring throughout east Jerusalem, occupied and then annexed by Israel in 1967. Settlers backed by wealthy donors often offer vast sums to the poorest Arab residents before turning to the law to win the property.(AFP/File/Samuel Aranda)
