An Israeli soldier confronts a Palestinian student during a protest at a checkpoint that the children try to cross daily on their way to school in the old city of the West Bank town of Hebron Monday Dec. 5, 2005. Hebron is divided into Palestinian and Israeli-controlled zones, with Israeli troops controlling an area of the center of the city, where about 500 Jewish settlers live.
