An elderly Palestinian woman begs for money as worshippers pass by on their way to pray in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem's Old City, Friday, Jan. 13, 2006. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday renewed a threat to cancel upcoming parliamentary elections if Israel does not permit Arabs living in Jerusalem to vote. Israel's defense minister said Tuesday that Jerusalem's Palestinians would be permitted to vote under an absentee-ballot system used in past elections.
