Bishop Pietro Sambi, Vatican Apostolic Nuncio in Israel, equivalent to ambassador, identifies himself to an Israeli border policeman in the grounds of the Saint Martha Church in the West Bank village of Bethany, in the outskirts of Jerusalem, as he demands the soldier to leave church property, Tuesday April 6, 2004. Israeli troops have repeatedly entered church property trying to prevent Palestinians from crossing from the West Bank into Jerusalem in their effort to avoid the separation barrier being built by Israel, church officials said. The planned route of the barrier includes several properties of the Catholic Church. (AP Photo/Enric Marti)
