Ismail Hamed, 7, lies in a hospital bed in Jabalia after being injured by tank shells fired by Israeli tanks, January 31, 2003. Israeli tanks fired three tank shells, injuring seven Palestinians under the age of 17, two of them seriously, who had been playing soccer in an open area between Jabalia and Beit Hanoun, according to witnesses and hospital officials. An Israeli military source said the shells had been fired at a group of Palestinians who tried to fire Qasam rockets from the same area where rockets were fired yesterday.
